Ciao a tutti from Michele!

I moved from Italy to England in 2008 and the idea was to stay in the UK for only 6 months to improve my English language, but then I fell in love with one of the most amazing cities in the world, which is London and here I am in 2022!
 
I work in the wellness and sport nutrition industry, I love spending my free time taking dancing classes, enjoying a nice espresso with friends, reading old school books and hanging with my cat!
 
Since I have always felt as a “tourist forever” in this city and in love with the local history and culture, I kept wandering around with a strong desire to discover new places, in London and beyond.
 
All this has led me to join one of my best friends, Bas, to launch our Culture Dudes idea/project, with the primary purpose of educating people, with a genuine and spontaneous touch, on a quest to take you with us wherever we go.

Bas

A second generation Brit, culture has been at the very forefront of my life since I was born. It has sometimes been at odds but for the most part, it has been a beautiful, unique fusion of textures and colours, aromas and cuisines, traditions and new precedences. 

I take tremendous pride in learning and understanding history and culture and how it has evolved over time. Lessons from the past that can serve us here, now. 

My earliest memories include watching the fall of the Berlin wall. Although I didn’t fully understand what was going on at the time, I was completely hooked. 

Nowadays, I immerse myself with reading and travelling. In between my gardening and  Tango I quite possibly have far too many interests for my own good. I draw inspiration from comedy and believe it is a tremendous tool to heal oneself Can quite easily watch Blackadder back to back munching down spicy beef tacos.
